Winfred Claude Wightman Winfred Wightman, age 94, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Carondelet Manor, Kansas City, Missouri. Winfred was born the son of Claude and Ollie (Cox) Wightman on April 9, 1918, in Braymer, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Bernice Faye Beck on October 8, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2010. Winfred served in the United States Army during World War II from July 7, 1941 till October 19, 1945. He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church. Survivors include two nieces, Veona Emery and Laura Emery both of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Buford Wightman, of Norborne, Missouri; and Robert Wightman, of Olympia, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Anna Roy Light, Willa Hardy, and Lottie North; and two brothers, Vern Wightman, and Howard Wightman. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, February 16, 2013 one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Plymouth Cemetery, Plymouth, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
