Wilma "Jean" Eaton Wilma "Jean" Eaton, age 94, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Indian Hills Retirement Village in Chillicothe, Missouri. Jean was born the daughter of John and Mary (Calvert) Eaton on August 26, 1922, in Bosworth, Missouri. She was a resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri, for forty years, having graduated from Lee's Summit High School. She worked in the social work field, earning a master of social work degree from University of Southern California. She was a member of the Community Christian Church of Kansas City, Missouri, and attended First Christian Church of Carrollton, Missouri. Survivors include three cousins; Dr. Charles and Pat Hughes of Manhattan, Kansas, Martha (Rickerson) and Marvin Gall of Lenexa, Kansas, and Cindi (Hughes) and Wayne Davison of Austin, Texas, along with many second, third, and fourth cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Norman C. Eaton; one sister, Evonne Chapman; one brother-in-law, Marvin D. Chapman; and one nephew, James M. Chapman. Graveside services will be held at the Arkadelphia Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, from 8:00 a.m., until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Arkadelphia Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church of Carrollton, Missouri, and/or the Community Christian Church of Kansas City, Missouri, or may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
