Wilma Lee (Billie) Corbin
Wilma Lee (Billie) Corbin, age 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Billie was born the daughter of Floyd L. and Cortie Esther (Blue) Dunn on November 12, 1922 in Hamilton, Missouri. She was baptized and attended the United Methodist Church in Hamilton, Missouri. Billie attended Hamilton High School until she was united in marriage with Fredrick Neal Corbin on November 25, 1939, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Neal preceded her in death on September 5, 1999.
Billie was a lifelong homemaker and loved to care for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a founding member of the Chillicothe Saddle Club and an avid sports fan; especially when her grandkids were playing. Her favorite sports were football and baseball. She cheered on the Chillicothe Hornets, Hamilton Hornets, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Corbin and Don Beebe of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Sheree Corbin and Clarence Eckert of Chula, Missouri; two sons, Larry Corbin of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Steven Corbin and wife Laronda of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Dreana Steiner and husband Craig, Shaundel Finch and husband Mark, Clint Corbin and wife Desiree, Chris Corbin and fiancé Sarah Freeman-Heckman, Cory Corbin and wife Whitney, Jessie Rodenberg and wife Brandi, Kaley Rodenberg, Tad Corbin and wife Michelle, and Kayce Duran; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Romeiser and husband Harold of Utica, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Zona (Skip) Dunn of Hale, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal; her daughter, Nancy McManus; her son-in-law, Byron McManus; one daughter-in-law, Diane Corbin; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine Heer and husband Clyde, and Jean Heer and husband Raymond; and one brother, Floyd L. Dunn Jr.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
