Wilma Jean Burk, age 80, resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away at her residence, in Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was born daughter of James and Lola B. (Ackerman) Richardson on July 6, 1930 in Aurora, Nebraska. She attended the Chillicothe Business College where she met and married Davy Walker in 1949. They had four children. On September 8, 1967, she married James H. Burk in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives her of the home. Jean retired from Donaldson's after 20 years. She was an active member of the Jolly Jane, the Red Hatters and a past officer of the American Legion Auxiliary. She lived her entire adult life in the Chillicothe area loving God, her children, family, friends and husband. Mrs. Burk is also survived by her two sons Steven L. Walker, Chillicothe, Missouri, Mark T. Walker and wife Pam of Shawnee, Kansas; three daughters Deborah C. Epperson of Springfield, Missouri, Penny L. Trent of Kearney, Missouri, Kayce H. Utterback of Kearney, Missouri; one stepson, James Burk and wife Saundra of Stet, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Joella Baldwin and husband Dave of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one brother Dale D. Richardson and wife Judy of Gainsville, Georgia; several grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dorrance and Max Richardson and one sister Margaret M. Monroe. A Memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 15, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American legion Auxiliary Scholarship Fund and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
