William L. Ricehouse William L. Ricehouse, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. William was born the son of Harry and Goldie (Beeler) Ricehouse on December 23, 1922, in Glasgow, Missouri. He was a member of the United States Navy from 1940 until 1947 serving as a 1st Class Baker. He was united in marriage to Loraine Isabelle Mantlo on March 29, 1947 in Paola, Kansas. She survives of the home. William made his home in Chillicothe in 1986, moving from Richmond, Missouri, prior to that they lived in Kansas City, Kansas. William worked in the auto sales industry for many years, most recently working for Van Chevrolet. He was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, where he served as a Deacon and a Church Greeter. William was also a member of the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25, served as a volunteer for R.S.V.P. and also helped with Meals on Wheels. Survivors include his wife Loraine of the home; one son George Ricehouse and wife Barbara of Flower Mound, Texas; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Virgil, and Irvin Ricehouse; two sisters, Ruth Hinton and Evelyn Stapp. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Stucker Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri.
