Bill Foxworthy, age 73, a resident of Avalon, Missouri passed away on Sunday December 19, 2010 at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Bill was born son of Carlton Lee and Mary Lillian (Herring) Foxworthy on October 19, 1937 in Brookfield, Missouri. He went to school in Tina Avalon and graduated as part of the first High School class to graduate in the new school in 1955. He is an Army veteran having served from 1961 through 1963 during the Cubin Missile Crisis. On November 7, 1959 he married Dixie Lou Batson in Caloma Baptist Church, she preceded him in death on May 25, 1995. Bill lived his life in Avalon, Missouri and worked as in the Teamsters Union as a mechanic for Churchill Trucking. He loved hunting and fishing. Bill is survived by his son William Owen of Avalon, Missouri; his daughter Mary Brown and husband Michael of Avalon, Missouri; and a grandson Timothy Windsor of Brookfield, Missouri. He was also preceded in death by three infant children, granddaughter Mariah Rose Windsor; sisters Tawanda Geromini, and Mary Aerwana Spainhour; and a nephew Carl Spainhour. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. A family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
