William E. Denham
William E. Denham, age 83, a resident of Linn, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
William was born the son of James Harold and Mina (Evans) Denham on August 9, 1937, in Dawn, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Gladys Jones in 1958 in Dawn, Missouri. To this union three children were born. He served in the United States Army.  He was then united in marriage to Ruby Zetty Phelon on July 15, 1978, in Topeka, Kansas. She preceded him in death in December 2020. William worked as a truck driver for Gulley Transportation, Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the American Legion Funeral Honors Team. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and reminiscing about the olden days.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie McBrearety and husband, Michael of Clarksburg, Missouri, and Cherie Osterhoff and husband, Jerry of Linn, Missouri;  ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three brothers, John Denham of Blue Springs, Missouri, David Denham of Dawn, Missouri, and Kenneth Denham of Trenton, Missouri; and one sister, Carolyn Huff of Owatonna, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby; one son, Ricky Denham; two brothers, Jim and Ronnie Denham; three sisters, Phyllis Cooke, Katherine DuBois, and Shirley Cook.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Enon Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com .
