William "Bill" Cunningham

William "Bill" Cunningham William "Bill" Cunningham, age 94, a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Bill was born the son of William D. and Alice Ellaricka Bertha (Linder) Cunningham on November 14, 1919, in Leon, Iowa. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 until 1945, during World War II. Bill was united in marriage to Ruth Warren on June 17, 1967, in Independence, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2012. He worked as a Plumber for Jim Fish in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially Mule Deer in Utah, and fishing in Canada, the Great Lakes, and all around locally as well. Survivors include one son, Douglas W. Hammond and wife Yuko of Independence, Missouri; two daughters, Georgia Lee Cunningham of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Beverly Fowler of Lee's Summit, Missouri; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. HE was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; and three sisters, Hallie Fimple, Sarah Talbot, and Minnie Singleton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. A scheduled family visitation will be held at on Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
