William "Art" Lamp William "Art" Lamp, age 96, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Art was born the son of Charles Henry and Arta Viola (Cantrell) Lamp on August 25, 1920, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 until 1945. He worked as a truck driver for Gates Brothers of Chula, Missouri, driving to Producer Creamers for many years. Art was a member of the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He collected tools and milk glass. He enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren. On November 1, 1945, he married Marie Sparks. She preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Dannie Lamp and wife Valinda of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Joseph D. Lamp and significant other Penny Hoffman of Princeton, Missouri; five daughters, Ruby Lee Bryson and husband Joe of Hale, Missouri, Judy Kay Lamp of St. Louis, Missouri, Galen Sue Paden and husband Steve of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Julie Ann Hamilton of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Allyson Weber and husband Brad of Raytown, Missouri; thirty-seven grandchildren; sixty-two great grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruby Lamp of Chillicothe, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Lamp; one daughter, Janet Shatto; four sisters; six brothers; two great grandchildren; one son-in-law, William D. Paden; and one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Lynn Lamp. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, one hour prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
