Willas B. Logston

Willas R. Logston, age 86, a resident of Richmond, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Missouri. Willas was born in Millville, Missouri, on August 26, 1924, the son of William M. and Lucy M. (Moreland) Logston. On October 3, 1947, he married Ilah M. Ferguson in Hamilton, Missouri. Survivors include his wife Ilah Logston of the home; sons Mike Logston and wife Sue of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Richard Logston of Richmond, Missouri; daughter Karen Knotts and husband Marcus of Parker, Colorado; brother Melvin Logston of St. Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, April 1, 2011, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call Pitts Funeral Home after 12 noon on Friday.
