Wesley J. Powell Wesley J. Powell, 85, a resident of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, born in Marceline, Missouri, grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at his residence. Wesley was born the son of Charles Wesley Powell and Opal Racine (Brammer) Powell on September 2, 1930. Wesley served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Freeda Sharlene Scott on November 11, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2014. Survivors include one daughter, Teri Cinis and husband Maris of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; two sons, Michael Jay Powell and wife Leann of Afton, Minnesota, and Bruce Wayne Powell of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharlene, of 63 years, his brother, Irvin; and one sister Edna Mae Duncan. He retired in 1994 after 37 years in the elevator industry. He enjoyed motor homing, motorcycling, dancing and snow birding in Arizona. Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Friends may call on Friday, August 5, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
