Wayne Hicks Wayne Hicks, age 72, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his residence. Wayne was born the son of Raymond and Hazel (Harvey) Hicks on March 1, 1941, in Meadville, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Jackie Lee on October 8, 1960, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives the home. Wayne worked as a water operator for Chillicothe Municipal Utilities for 31 years. He also worked as a logger at Chillicothe Lumber. Wayne loved building race cars, fishing, and hunting with his coon dogs. Survivors include wife Jackie of the home; four daughters, Carol Wright and Jimmie Scantlin of Meadville, Missouri, Cheryl Dennis and husband Ronnie of Meadville, Missouri, Pamela Vogel and husband Bill of Lineville, Iowa, and Tami Jo Steinbeck and husband Kris of Linn, Missouri; nephew William Lee and wife Cami of Huntington Beach, California; two brothers, Lawrence Hicks of Brookfield, Missouri, and Lester Hicks and wife Doris of Chillicothe, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Chris Wright and wife Audrey of Wheeling, Missouri, Kasie Webb and husband Chip of Braymer, Missouri, Kalie Fewins and husband Clay of Jamesport, Missouri, Aaron West of Independence, Caleb Dennis of Meadville, Missouri, and Kristen Steinbeck of Linn, Missouri, and Kohl Steinbeck of Linn, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother John Hicks; and one sister Joann Dixon. A private family graveside service will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne Hicks Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
