Waneta Mae Hill, 92, a resident of Hamilton, Missouri, formerly of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Waneta was born September 28, 1919, in Cowgill, Missouri, the daughter of John and Lydia (Cox) Floyd. Waneta owned and operated a restaurant in Breckenridge, Missouri, for many years. She also worked for Breckenridge as the City Tax Collector for 15 years. She was a member of Breckenridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Waneta is survived by her son Billy Don Hill of St. Joseph, Missouri; daughter Elaine Gastineau of Hamilton, Missouri; sister Velma Jennings of St. Joseph, Missouri; two grandchildren, Terry Gastineau and wife Noreen, and Tammy Gastineau; and four great-grandchildren, Raymond, Aaron, Annie and Stacey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six sisters, Oletha, Donna, Marjorie, Betty, Elizabeth, and Frances; two brothers, John Jr. and Carl; one son-in-law, Ron; and one daughter-in-law Sandy Gastineau. Graveside services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation at Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Friends may call at Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
