Wanda L. Sams Wanda L. Sams, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri. Wanda was born the daughter of Simon Thomas and Dorothy Hazel (Watts) Boude on July 9, 1929, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Wanda owned and operated several different restaurants in Missouri and Iowa. Later, she worked as dietitian for Woodward Iowa State Hospital for many years. Lastly, she managed the Golden Oaks Retirement Home in Chillicothe. Music was a large part of Wanda's life. She was a gifted musician and songwriter. Her greatest enjoyment was entertaining others with her vocals and guitar. Survivors include one son, Donald Wilson of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Carol Snyder of Mont Belvieu, Texas; eight grandchildren, Tatia Stevens of Houston Texas, Tera Goodrum of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey Hammond of Moberly, Missouri, Kyle Hammond of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Jessica Collings of Kearney, Missouri, Mike Wilson of Brookfield, Missouri, Renee Wilson of Cisco, Texas, and Lisa Starr of Cisco, Texas; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Boude of Chillicothe, Missouri; and five sisters, Ruby Lamp of Chillicothe, Missouri, Bonnie Mitchell of Chillicothe, Missouri, Judy Mills of Big Spring, Texas, Norma Boude of Brookfield, Missouri, and Pearl King of Platte City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dottie Glidewell; one sister, Mary Ellen Paschal; and one brother, Howard Boude. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
