Wanda Raney

Wanda L. Raney, age 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010, in Kansas City, Missouri. Wanda was born the daughter of Harry and Naomi (Thomas) Collier on September 2, 1931, in Chillicothe, Missouri. On January 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to Herald Raney in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1997. She resided in Chillicothe most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed going out to lunch and coffee with her many friends. She is survived by son, Bill Raney and wife Nancy of Chillicothe, Missouri; daughter, Donna Norwood and husband Jim of Sperry, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tisha Holmes and husband Rodney of Bixby, Oklahoma, Kimberly Stewart and husband Shane of Pittsboro, Indiana, Brian Raney and wife Stacy of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Mandy Raney of Kansas City, Missouri; great grandchildren Tylor, Skylor and Trevor Holmes; and two sisters, Betty Jeffries of Pearland, Texas, and Joan Herndon, of Newport Richey, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
