Wanda Bernadine Hughes

Wanda Bernadine Hughes, age 87, a resident of Cameron, Missouri, passed away at Quail Run Health Care Facility, Cameron, Missouri, on Friday, December 18, 2015. Wanda was born on October 4, 1928, the daughter of William and Mae (Sanson) Douglas in Mooresville, Missouri. On March 29, 1945, she married Marshall Hughes in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked for the Chillicothe Hospital and Susan's Nursing Home. She attended church at Methodist churches. Survivors include two sons, Mike Hughes and wife Marcia of Camdenton, Missouri, and Gary Hughes and wife Dana of Cameron, Missouri; two grandchildren, Heather Gardner of Warsaw and Josh Hughes of Independence; and four great grandchildren, Austin Gardner, Madelyn Gardner, Jack Gardner and Alizibeth Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter, Krystal Hughes; one sister, Kay Lowrey; and one brother, Leo Douglas. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
