Wanda Faye Brookshier Wanda Faye Brookshier, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at her residence in Chillicothe, Missouri. Wanda was born the daughter of Charles William Courtright and Dollia Mae (Morse) on August 24, 1927, in Jonesborough, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Martin H. Brookshier on December 19, 1959. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1978. She worked as a caretaker and a homemaker for most of her life. Wanda was a member of the Utica Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Children's Church, Acteen and GA's, and was on the Pulpit Committee, Dinner Committee, Women Missionary Union and the Nursery Coordinator. She was also a member of the R.S.V.P., where she volunteered at threads, Ladies Auxiliary at Hedrick Medical Center, the Democratic Committee Woman of Green Township. Survivors include one daughter Wanda Graves and husband John of Chula, Missouri; two brothers, Bud Courtright and Jerry Courtright of Kansas City, Kansas; one sister Joan Andrews of Kansas City, Kansas; one granddaughter Marissa Minnis and husband Gregg of St. Joseph, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin; two infant twin sisters; one infant brother; two half-sisters, Sharon Kay White and Alice Mae McEuen; two brothers, Bill Andrews and Karl Andrews. Funeral services will be held at the Utica Baptist Church, Utica, Missouri, on Monday, January 9, 2012, 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, January 8, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri.
