Walter Clay Riegel Walter Clay Riegel, age 81, a resident of Holt, Missouri, formerly of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Walter was born the son of Walter Dan and Orpha Cordellia (O'Dell) Riegel on September 14, 1931, in Cowgill, Missouri. He was a Stet High School graduate. He was a member of the United States Army, and served during the Korean War. Walter was united in marriage to Cynthia Sue Crist on January 31, 1958, in Independence, Missouri. She survives of the home. Walter worked as an inspector for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Excelsior Springs Church of Christ, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Survivors include his wife Sue of the home; two sons, Walter Kyle Riegel and wife Beverly of Cowgill, Missouri, and Jeffrey Allen Riegel of Holt, Missouri; four grandchildren; one brother, Robert Riegel of Kearney, Missouri; and three sisters, Joan Collins of Smithville, Missouri, Reva Fionda of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lois Headings of Hermitage, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Dan Riegel and Orpha Cordellia Riegel; and one brother, Leo Riegel. Memorial services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
