Virginia Rose Simpson Rounkles Virginia Rose Rounkles, age 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at her residence. Virginia was born the daughter of William and Lela (Britton) Pridemore on June 7, 1933, in Browning, Missouri. Following the death of her father, her mother Lela married Dawson Davis, who raised her. She was married to Bill Simpson, to this union two sons were born. She later married Irvin G. Rounkles, Sr. to this union one son was born. In their early married years, Virginia played guitar and sang in a country music band with Irvin in several local area towns. Virginia worked at Midwest Glove and Boss Glove Factory. She also worked as a waitress at the Chillicothe Country Club for many years and enjoyed being self-employed as a housekeeper and caretaker for several local families whom she dearly loved. Virginia loved cats, gardening, metal detecting and bingo, but most of all she loved her family. She is survived by one son, Irvin "Junior" G. Rounkles, Jr., and wife Karen of 3805 Clydesdale Drive Columbia, Missouri 65202; five grandchildren, Carissa Rachelle Rounkles of Columbia, Missouri, Ryan Irvin Rounkles of Eugene, Oregon, Kristopher Kelly Simpson of St. Joseph, Missouri, Jennifer Lee of Braymer, Missouri, and Michaela Simpson of Veneta, Oregon; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; three sisters, Mary Lou McMillen of Sun City West, Arizona, Judy Murray and husband Skip, of Severance, Colorado, and Diane Schamp of San Jacinto, California; one brother, William "Bill" Pridemore, and wife Irene "Sunny", of Pinion Hills, California. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kelly Benton Simpson, and Michael Harrison Simpson; one great-grandson, Seven Taylor Simpson; and one brother-in-law, Paul McMillen. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forrest O'Triplet Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
