Virginia Fern Roberts Virginia Fern Roberts, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Virginia was born the daughter of James T. and Gertie (Caddell) Herring on July 14, 1924, in Chula, Missouri. She was a 1942 Graduate of Meadville High School. She was united in marriage to Ervin W. Roberts on June 30, 1944, in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1998. Virginia worked at Boss Glove factory for thirty-one years. She enjoyed being outdoors, with her flowers and doing her many crafts. Survivors include several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darrell Lee Herring, and Richard Herring; one sister Mary Naomi Buckner. A celebration of life will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Monday, February 27, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Long Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
