Virginia M. Rader, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Virginia was born the daughter of Earl and Pauline (Hendry) Selby on February 14, 1931, in Villisca, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Clarence Rader, Jr., on December 27, 1948, Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2002. Virginia worked as a Certified Med Tech for Susan's Nursing Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, for 25 years, and for Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri, for 37 years. She attended Soul's Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri. Virginia enjoyed flowers, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include one son, Roger Rader and wife Jaime of La Plata, Missouri; three daughters, Rose Richey of Chillicothe, Missouri, Judy Derickson of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Carolyn McCracken and husband David of Dawn, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Selby of Schambach, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; two sons, Robert Earl and Sam Rader; three grandchildren. Melissa McCracken, Rachel McCracken, and Justin Derickson; one great grandson, Nick Lawson; one brothers, Robert Selby; and three sisters, Lilly Rader, Rose Searcy, and Fern McKinly.
A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, April 27, 2020, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
