Virgil E. McCulley a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away with his family by his side at his residence, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was born, son of Earnest Robert and Ethel Mae (Wendt) McCulley on November 5, 1944, in Princeton, Missouri. He graduated from Newtown High School in 1962. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army from January 1963 to January 1966. On June 5, 1965, he married Nancy Jeanette Holloway in Rayville, Missouri. She survives him of the home. Virgil attended services at United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He worked at Barnes-Baker Service department from 1969 to 1979. He worked at Donaldson's from 1978 retiring in 2007. He was a member of the UAW local 710 Teamsters and was on the City Council in Wheeling, MO. He served two terms on the Wheeling School Board, and he was the President during his last Term. He is survived by two sons Tim McCulley and wife Monica of Braymer, Missouri, Mark McCulley of Chillicothe, Missouri; his daughter Tracy Smith and husband Steve of Chillicothe, Missouri; six grandchildren Jessica and Tony Hursman, Brenna and Peyton Snyder, Corbin and Conner McCulley; one great grandchild Braxton Hursman. He is also survived by one brother Gary McCulley and wife Debbie of Browning, Missouri, two sisters Betty Holloway of Belton, Missouri, Mary Carroll of Unionville, Missouri. He was preceeded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 8:00 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be at the Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
