Viola Marie Keller, age 94, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Viola was born the daughter of Lee Alfred Cockrell and Vella Virginia Hawkins on December 8, 1924 in Minco, Oklahoma. She was a former resident of Lone Jack, Missouri, and Cushing, Oklahoma. Viola was united in marriage to J.R. Harless on 1943, in Ripley, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Later in life, she was united in marriage to Glen Keller on June 20, 1971, in Braymer, Missouri. He preceded her in death. She worked as the City Clerk Tax Collector for Braymer from 1962 to 1978. Viola was a very active member of the Braymer Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Crawford and husband Newt of Kearney, Missouri and San Diego, California; three grandchildren; Brad McElwee and wife Sheri of Holt, Missouri, Jamie Sykes and husband Joel of Kearney, Missouri, and Gina Marie Cain of Olathe, Kansas; seven great-granchildren; one great-great-granchild; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, J.R. Harless, and Glen Keller; two sons, Lonnie David Harless, and Roy Leland Harless; sister, Helen Evans; four brothers, Lee Alfred Cockrell, Robert Sidney Cockrell, Herman Cockrell, and Pete Teeples.
Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Baptist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Braymer Baptist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer Baptist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
