Victor Frank Totta Victor Frank Totta, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, June 7, 2012 at Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center. Victor was born August 28, 1926 to Antonio and Anna (DeSimone) Totta and was raised in the North End area of Kansas City. He was a Golden Glove boxer in his youth and carried a competitive, never-give-up spirit to the very end. In 1945 he married the love of his life, Donna Faye Wooden whom he referred to often as his Baby Doll. They were married 61 years until her death in 2006. He was a member of Teamsters Local 541 and drove for Coca-Cola and Rich-Con Steel until his retirement. He and Donna traveled extensively before settling in their retirement home in Weslaco, Texas. He returned to Kansas City in 2010. Victor enjoyed hunting, fishing, poker, billiards, dancing and all types of sports. He said he didn't even mind golf. Monday nights, the big screen at Wilshire was reserved for his favorite program, professional wrestling. Victor was a colorful storyteller and entertained his family and friends with memorable tales that will no doubt be retold at our family holiday gatherings. He was loved by the care staff at Wilshire as evidenced by their numerous visits. Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents; brother, Frank Joseph Totta; sister, Mary Calderella; sister, Elizabeth Ashley; nephew, Carl LaManno. He is survived by his dear friend Rosie Munoz, who called him daily. His sister, Frances LaManno (Carl); niece, Julianna Totta Drees (Anthony); nephews: Anthony L. Totta (Kathleen), W. James LaManno (Terry), Anthony LaManno, David Ashley (Linda) and Mark Ashley (Mary), and many great nieces and nephews. Anthony L. and Julianna express their gratitude to Dr. Joy Cuezze, the staffs of Wilshire at Lakewood and Crossroads Hospice for their gentle, loving and skilled care they so graciously gave to Uncle Victor. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. A family Visitation will be held at Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Pitts Funeral Home, P.O.
