Verna "Carol" Wilson

Verna "Carol" Wilson Carol Wilson, age 102, a resident of Plattsburg, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home, Plattsburg, Missouri. Carol was born the daughter of George and Grace (Moberly) Bailey on February 9, 1911, in Humphreys, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Chester Wilson on August 3, 1934, in Grundy County. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1975. Carol was a former member of Wheeling Methodist Church, Wheeling, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, fishing and being outdoors. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Rawdon and husband Lanny of Holt, Missouri; three grandsons, Doug Rawdon and wife Tomi of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Derrick Rawdon and wife Susan of North Richland Hills, Texas, and John Rawdon and wife Jess of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; seven great-grandchildren, Leah Rawdon, Trig Rawdon, Hannah Rawdon, Tyler Rawdon, Trent Rawdon, Jessica Wendling, and Whitney Rawdon; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chester; three brothers, Dan Bailey, Harry Bailey, and Charles Bailey; eight sisters, Lois Thompson, Mary Samenfield, Reva Williams, Frances Updike, Stella McCullough, Ann Notingale, Maxine, and Ruth Thomas. Services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, July 26, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
