Vera Maxine King Vera Maxine King, a resident of St. Charles, Missouri, former Chillicothe, Missouri, resident, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Parkside Retirement Center, St. Charles, Missouri. Vera was born the daughter of Evan and Nellie Mabel (Weygandt) Hughes on December 1, 1928, in Dawn, Missouri. She was a 1946 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to John R.H. King on August 20, 1950, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He survives of the home. She worked as a representative at First National Bank in St. Charles, Missouri, for 18 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Vera enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband John of the home; two sons, John D. King and wife Mary Ann of St. Charles, Missouri, and Curtis Ray King and wife Kim of Loveland, Colorado; two daughters, Deborah K. Nichols of St. Charles, Missouri, and Vera (Kathleen) Martin and husband Gary of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Vera Hughes of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Laveta S. Wisehaupt, Mildred M. Hall, and Beatrice A. Hansen; and one brother, Delbert E. Hughes. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Welsh Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri.
