Velma Louise Strange, age 93, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Meadville, Missouri.
Velma was born the daughter of Fred and Roxie (Dillard) Schneiter on October 17, 1927, in Clifton Hill, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Carmen E. Strange on October 29, 1948, in Meadville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1999. Velma and Carmen operated a Dairy Farm east of Chillicothe for 50 years. Velma attended Wheeling Christian Church, Wheeling, Missouri.
Survivors include one sister, Bernice Geneva Noble of Boonville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carmen; four brothers, Melvin, Carl, Bobby, and Donald Schneiter; and one sister, Helen Lieurance.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, December 27, 2020, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O.
