Vella R. Bonderer
Vella R. Bonderer, age 80, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at St. Luke's North Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Vella was born the daughter of Herman Fred and Opal Vella (Summerville) Linville on March 27, 1938, in Livingston County Missouri. She was a 1955 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Walter J. Bonderer on August 13, 1966, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2016. Vella worked for the Missouri Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in Chillicothe, Missouri, for 39 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Her faith was very important to her. She loved traveling and enjoyed planning her next trip.
Survivors include one son, David Buttman and wife Jenny of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandsons, Scott Finley and wife Emily of Carrollton, Missouri, Jack Finley and wife Heather of Tacoma, Washington, and Dan Buttman of Lathrop, Missouri; three granddaughters, Angela Arcuri of Greenwood, Missouri, Emily Baxter and husband Clint of Kearney, Missouri, and Erica Buttman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and one daughter, Brenda Buttman.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
