Valvert "Chuck" Breeden, age 88, resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Valvert Eugene was born the son of Phillip William and Elsie May Peterie in Laredo, Missouri on June 16, 1923. He married Norma Darlene Billups on July 22, 1951 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was anArmy veteran of World War II, serving as a tank driver, where he earned the Silver Star. He was employed for over twenty years with Trager Quarry, as a Landfill Operator. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member Chillicothe High School Booster Club and loved going Chillicothe High School football games. He is survived by one son Bill and wife Millie of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rachel Boley and husband Rick of Chillicothe, Missouri, Travis Breeden and wife Melody of Kansas City, Missouri, Brian Garr and wife Karin of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kevin Garr and wife Ashley of Pella, Iowa; seven great grandchildren, Kiley and Kinlei Boley, Kaitlyn and Isabella Garr, all of Chillicothe, Missouri Hudson and Landen Breeden, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Jayme Garr of Pella, Iowa; one sister Phyllis Lionberger of Chillicothe, Missouri; one son-in-law Fred Garr of Chillicothe, Missouri.He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Norma Garr, one grandson Greg Hicks, and four brothers, Gotch Breeden, Russell Breeden, Alvin Breeden, and Faye Breeden; one brother-in-law Clyde Loinberger. He is also survived by one son Larry Breeden; two daughters, Mary Hicks of Osage Beach, Missouri, Becky Wilson of the State of Oregon; and grandson Steven Hicks of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. A family visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
