Valeria M. Harris Valeria M. Harris, age 96, a resident of Savannah, Missouri, formerly of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Laverna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, Missouri. Valeria was born the daughter of Norvel A. and Elnora B. (Barringer) Switzer on May 5, 1916, in Lovewell, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Donald C. Harris on December 8, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1985. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Breckenridge, Missouri. Valeria was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Bill Harris and wife Connie of Breckenridge, Missouri, and Donald Harris, and wife Debbie of Leavenworth, Kansas; one daughter, Kathleen S. Vanfossen, and husband David of Savannah, Missouri; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three sisters, Virginia Larsen, Myra Willett, and Mildred McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; three brothers, Gilbert Switzer, Robert Switzer, and Laurel Switzer; three sisters, Pauline Fletcher, Mary Campbell, Barbara Hoch, and one granddaughter, Kim Harris Mason. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
