Una Mae Jackson Una Jackson, age 90, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at her home. Una Mae was born the daughter of Eli and Cora Mae (Ransford) Judah on May 26, 1924 in Hastings, Iowa. Una Mae was a 1941 graduate of Strahan High School, Strahan, Iowa. Una Mae was united in marriage to Homer Elwood Jackson on August 19, 1946 in Malvern, Iowa. The family moved to Chillicothe, Missouri in 1959. Una Mae worked as a cook for the Chillicothe R-II School District at Field School, retiring in 1986. Una Mae is survived by one son Don Jackson and wife, Susan, Liberty, MO.; three daughters Janice and husband Gary Scheffel, Mt. Pleasant, IA.; Carol and husband Tim Reger, Chillicothe, Missouri.; Rena and husband Lowell Perkins, Lock Springs, MO.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; several nieces and nephews. Una Mae was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Wayne Miller, husband Homer Jackson, who preceded her in death on February 10, 1982, step daughter Dixie Wright, three brothers Gerald, Clyde, and John Judah, sisters Erma Young and Fern Anderson. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral home, Chillicothe, Missouri, one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forrest O' Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
