Triston Samuel Searcy

May 18, 2010 — February 23, 2011

Triston Samuel Searcy, age 9 months, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Triston was born on May 18, 2010, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Jeremy and Tabby (Howerton) Searcy. He was always joyful, with the cutest chuckle and "happy dance". Triston was the light and hope of his mommy's world, always and forever. He lit up every night when daddy came home from work and shared a special connection with each of his siblings: playtime on the floor every morning with Jackson, watching SpongeBob SquarePants on Colton's lap, getting fed by Katie, playing PlayStation 2 with Preston, and Madison was like a second mom to him. He enjoyed time with each of his cousins and he loved playing with hair and necklaces in his reach. He was a miracle baby who overcame numerous obstacles, touched countless lives and brought many to Christ. Expected to live only hours after birth, his nine months in this world was an astonishing lifetime. Survivors include his parents, Jeremy and Tabby Searcy of the home; brothers Preston Lee Ishmael, Colton Wallace-Ridge Searcy and Jackson Trace Searcy, all of the home; sisters Madison Paige Searcy and Katie Marie Searcy, both of the home; paternal grandmother Karen Searcy of Chillicothe, Missouri; maternal grandparents Larry and Kay Howerton of Mooresville, Missouri; five aunts, Melissa Ficken and Spencer of Chillicothe, Missouri, Jaimie Francis and John of Blue Springs, Missouri, Savanna Searcy and Josh Bishop of Chula, Missouri, Tracy Cruse and John of Chula, Missouri, and Larissa Regan and Steve of Chula, Missouri; two uncles, Kelly Howerton of West Virginia, and Charles Howerton of Oklahoma; several cousins; and special friend Joan Hopper. He was preceded in death by his brother, Auston Searcy; sister, Megan Ishmael; paternal grandfather Roger Searcy; paternal great grandparents, Gertrude and Roy Van Dusen and Maxine and Gerald Searcy; maternal great grandparents George and Sue Waterman and Perry and Jessie Howerton. Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Missouri.
