Travis Daniel Reed
Travis Daniel Reed, age 36, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at CoxHealth Springfield, Missouri.
Travis was born the son of E.L. and Patricia (Davis) Reed on February 9, 1984, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a 2002 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He then attended Missouri State University of Springfield, Missouri, where he graduated in 2005 with his Bachelor's Degree in Business. While at Missouri State University, he started a fraternity chapter of Phi Delta Gamma. He also attended graduate school. Travis opened a branch of Shinnova Solar in Springfield, Missouri. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Travis was also a member of Boy Scout Troop 120, where he earned his Eagle Scout, a Mason, and a Shriner.
Survivors include his parents, E.L. and Pat Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Grace Tinlin Reed of Springfield, Missouri; fiancé, Lindsay Johnson of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Robert Reed and wife Juana of Agency, Missouri; nieces, Amanda Reed, Ashlee Delaney and husband Caleb, and Allison Smith and husband Tanner; great nephews, Wyatt Cameron, Whitley and Reed Delaney, and Cohen Smith; uncle, Blackie Reed of Colorado Springs, Colorado; cousins, Darren Reed of Springfield, Missouri, Tanya Reed of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rick Reed and wife Jennifer and their children of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Chrystal Reed; paternal grandparents, Luther and June Davis; and one niece, Savannah Reed.
Private family graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 18, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the House of Prayer Rescue Mission and/or Boy Scout Troop 120 and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
