Thomas H. Gann, Sr. Thomas H. Gann, Sr., age 87, a resident of Centralia, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Thomas was born the son of Walter and Fern (Coleman) Gann on March 4, 1927, in Dalton, Missouri. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School. He attended Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Missouri, S.W. University, Springfield, Missouri, and Weston College, Kansas City, Missouri. Thomas served in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to C. Virlea Thomas on January 27, 1950, in Brookfield, Missouri. She preceded him in death on September 30, 1989. He worked as a self-employed Truck Driver for many years. Survivors include one son, Rick Gann and wife Sandy of Mary Esther, Florida; two daughters, Belinda Ward of Centralia, Missouri, and Vickie Acree and husband Gary of Centralia, Missouri; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Thomas husband John of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Nancy Caldwell of Sun City, California; one sister-in-law, Pat Gann of Brookfield, Missouri; Longtime companion Donna Gann, her two loving children Bonita and David and their families; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Virlea; one son, Thomas H. Gann, Jr.; granddaughter, Heather Gann; two brothers; four sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 31, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
