Thelma Sue Speakman

Thelma S. Speakman, age 75, a resident of Higginsville, Missouri former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. She was born the daughter of Enid Gibson on April 18, 1935 in Princeton, Missouri. On November 11, 1953, she married Adin Speakman in Corydon, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1992. She worked for Grand River Health Care in Chillicothe, Missouri as a certified nurse's aide. She is survived by three daughters Nancy Shafer of Chillicothe, Missouri, Donna Schroer of Higginsville, Missouri and Becky Starbuck of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son Randy Speakman. There was cremation. There will be a private family burial at a later date. Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
