Tara Elaine Norman, age 51, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield, Missouri.
Tara was born the daughter of Don R. and Saundra (Smith) St. John on November 5, 1967, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a 1986 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Tara received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in social work from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Marcus Norman on September 29, 1987, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1997. Tara worked as a social worker for the Chillicothe Correctional Center many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Tara enjoyed cake decorating.
Survivors include her mother, Saundra St. John of the home; two sons, Derrick Norman and wife Kristin of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Allen (AJ) Bloss of Brookfield, Missouri; one daughter, Amanda Norman of Laclede, Missouri; two grandchildren, Piper Norman and Joseph Andrew Norman both of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Jona Forte and husband Buck of Brookfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Don; husband, Marc; and one brother, Patrick St. John.
A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Bloss Education Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
