Steven Charles Brown, Sr. Steven Charles Brown, Sr. age 59, a resident of Laredo, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri. Steven was born the son of Charles D. and Charlotte (Bower) Brown in Fairfield, Iowa. Steve attended elementary school in Birmingham, Iowa. He was a 1970 graduate of Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, Iowa and he also graduated from Indian Hills, specializing in small appliance service and repair. On January 17, 1981 he was united in marriage to Roxie Schilb in Knoxville, Iowa. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Laredo Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, using his hands to fix and repair things, and driving trucks. Survivors include one son Steven Brown, Jr. of Laredo, Missouri; one daughter Angela Struble and husband Ron of Laredo, Missouri; eight granddaughters, Rosemary, Summer, Tabitha, Sue, Destiny, and Judy Brown of Mexico, Missouri, and JoAnn Watson and Roxie Struble of Laredo, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Coffin and husband James of Fairfield, Iowa, and Brenda Bozarth and husband Don of Graceville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Barbara J. Barcus. A Memorial service will be held at the Laredo Baptist Church, Laredo, Missouri, on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
