Steven Bethards Steven Bethards, age 56, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospice House, North Kansas City, Missouri. Steven was born the son of Alvin Ray and Marjorie Louise (Searcy) Bethards on January 8, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1975 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. Steven worked as a salesman for Grand Builders and as a general manager for Don Parks for 34 years. He is survived by his mother Marjorie Parks; step father Donald Parks; one son Kyle Bethards of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters Joni Walker and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Cheryl Bethards of St. Joseph, Missouri; two nephews Michael Walker of Camden Point, Missouri, and Joshua Bethards of St. Joseph, Missouri; one niece Melanie Jordan of Athens, Pennsylvania; one great nephew Eric Walker of Camden Point, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Ray Bethards; maternal grandparents Ora E. and Sara Searcy; and paternal grandparents Charles and Ruth Cooper. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
