Steven Christopher "Chris" Baker, age 46, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Blue Mound, Missouri.
Chris was born the son of Steven and Raelea (Wood) Baker on March 13, 1975, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1993 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He worked for the Boilermakers Local 83 of Kansas City, Missouri, for 21 years. In his spare time, Chris worked small jobs fabricating with metal. He held a patent on a tube clamp for welding that was named the Baker Pipe Clamp. He was a member of a pool league in Brookfield, Missouri. Chris loved hunting, especially deer hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed feeding the fish at his farm.
Survivors include one son, Steven Michael Baker of Thornton, Colorado; one daughter, Tianna Marie Snyder of Chelsea, Massachusetts; his father, Steven Baker of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Nathan Leroy Baker and wife Emily of Chillicothe, Missouri; and two sisters, Auhisha Baker of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Tanyta Rae Swank of Clearwater, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Nathan and Helen Baker; and maternal grandparents, Ernie and Pearl Wood.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the CHS Hunting and Fishing Club and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
