Stephan "Scooby" Eugene Nylin, age 53, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, in his home.
Stephan was the son of Gerald and Lorena Avery. He was born on August 23, 1970. He was a member of the Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri, senior class of 1989. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Maria Bush on September 2, 1989, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Stephan worked at Chillicothe Diesel, Chillicothe, Missouri, for over 20 years. He knew almost every diesel mechanic and farmer between Chillicothe to Kansas City. If you had a vehicle issue, he knew a guy or never hesitated to make time to help you fix it. Stephan was a hard-core Chief's fan. He celebrated every win and cursed every loss. He shared tears of joy with his dad, when the Chief's won their first Super Bowl. He never missed a game. Stephan loved to hunt and fish. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, watching his grand babies grow, and loved his two German Shepherds, Uno and Maze.
Stephan is survived by his wife, Maria, of the home; three daughters, Meagan Stanhope and husband, James of Hale, Missouri; Brittany Henson and husband, Leslie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Haylee Nylin and Derek Fee of Kidder, Missouri; one son, Wade Nylin and wife, Adenia of Chillicothe, Missouri; two granddaughters, Payton and Paige; eight grandsons, James, Kameron, Rowdy, Leslie, Hunter, Wendall, Willy and one on the way; two brothers, James McKinney and wife, Teena, of Biggsville, Illinois; Rex McKinney of Oquawka, Illinois; one sister, Sharon Dobesh and husband, Mullan of Bayville, New Jersey; some aunts; and lots of nieces and nephews.
