Soney (Clarence) Leroy Miller Soney Miller, age 65, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Soney was born the son of Clarence Wilson and Berdie Lee (Miller) Baker on May 10, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a 1968 graduate of De La Salle Academy, Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating high school he attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was a member of the Penn Valley Elite Fencing Team, and later received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Avila University, Kansas City, Missouri. Soney served in the United States Army, he also worked as an analyst for DST Systems Inc. for 20 years, and was a member of the Ararat Shrine Club, Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed reading, Greek Mythology, and was a Star Wars and Sci-Fi enthusiast. Survivors include one daughter Sicily J. Miller and husband Brian of Chillicothe, Missouri; four brothers John Baker of Kansas City, Kansas, Burt Baker of Kansas City, Missouri, Gene Parnell Jr. of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Jerome Queen of Kansas City, Missouri; six sisters, Ara Bella Silvers of North Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Pearison of Grandview, Missouri, Elizabeth Bruce of Kansas City, Missouri, Terry Baker of Kansas City, Missouri, Ozell Baker of Liberty, Missouri, Angela Baker of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, David Gordon Jr., Jesse-Lee Miller, Sylas Gatson, Jayce Gatson, and Xenobia Gatson; and one niece Elizabeth Ann Allen of Uganda, Africa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Sylis E. Miller; former wife Shirley Faye Allen; three brothers Alfred Dennie, George Baker and Michael Baker; one sister Lori Baker; and one niece Rada Miller. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Missouri.
