Sondra Ann Sayers, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Sondra was born the daughter of George and Iona (Childers) Wells on April 7, 1951, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She attended North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Robert Sayers on November 2, 1968, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives of the home. Sondra was a member of Turning Point Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a devoted prayer warrior, always read her Bible, and always prayed. Sondra enjoyed singing and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Sayers, of the home; one son, Chuck Sayers and wife, Rosemary, of Breckenridge, Missouri; three daughters, Shawnette Moore and wife, Julie, of Chillicothe, Missouri, Violet Gouty and significant other, Justin Lycan, of Breckenridge, Missouri, and Bobby Sayers and significant other, Leland Hawk, Jr., of Chillicothe, Missouri; thirteen great grandchildren, Joshua Sayers (Emma), Anthony Sayers, Megan Sayers, Austin Sayers, Travis Winsor, Lane Windor (Emily), Aaron Skipper (Amanda), Emmalee Oliver (Bradly), Kelsie Cooper (Andrew Cooper), Cody Lamp (Katelyn Harper), Jeff Hawk, Chris Hawk, and Patience Richardson; eighteen great grandchildren, Lance and Sophia Sayers, Alistair and Stephen Skipper, Braydon Kimbrough, Jocelyn and Canyon Cooper, Ashlynn and Adaliegh Aronson, Emerson, Parker, and Lyncoln Lamp, Elizabeth, Mya, Khia, Kale, Lilly, and Nicholas Oliver. Sondra is also survived by one brother, Sam Sweat of St. Joseph, Missouri, and five nieces and nephews, Richard Wells, Calvary Wells, Cricket McCollum (Doyle), Donnie Max Keithly (Dana), and Larry Wayne Keithly (Rhonda); and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Faith Richardson; two great grandsons, Isaiah and Brendan Oliver; two brothers, George Wells and Jay W. Scott; two sisters, Mary Keithly and Donna Hunter; one nephew, Cory Wells; and one niece, Georgeanna Courtney.
Funeral services will be held at Turning Point Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sondra Ann Sayers Memorial Fund (please make checks payable to Bobby Sayers) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
