Shirley M. Shannon Shirley M. Shannon, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on December 9, 2017, at St. Luke's East, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Shirley was born the daughter of Lloyd E. and Virginia "Ruth" (Hicklin) Jones on March 15, 1947, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to James Pittman. He preceded her in death in 1971. She worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. She is survived by her son, Jason Pittman and wife Casi, of Bonner Springs, Kansas; her mother, Virginia "Ruth" Jones, of Chillicothe, Missouri; her sister, Virginia Hughes and husband Ron, of Chillicothe, Missouri; close friend, Linda Duncan of Kansas City, Missouri; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father; and daughter, Angela Shannon. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 14, 2017, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
