Shirley Ruth Layman

Shirley Ruth Layman, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was born in Winigan, Missouri on August 5, 1923 the daughter of Colonel F. and Daisy V. (Morton) Greenstreet. On December 27, 1941 she married Leroy Layman in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives of the home. Shirley was a homemaker and was employed by Des Moines Glove in Des Moines, Iowa for some time. She loved gardening and flowers of all kinds. She is also survived by one son, Terrill Gene Layman and wife Margaret of Arlington, Washington; two daughters, Patricia Short and husband Herbert of London, England, Sandra Kaye Layman of Lafayette, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters. Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
