Shirley Mae Ivey Shirley Mae Ivey, age 80, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Missouri. Shirley was born the daughter of O.A. "Bud" and Willie Maye (Redden) Winters on April 8, 1932, in Hodges, Texas. She was united in marriage to Theodore Holly Ivey on May 5, 1952 in, Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1986. Shirley graduated from Abilene High School in 1949. She then went on to Abilene Business School and graduated in 1951. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper at Kimbrough Propane Company in Abilene, Texas for six years. She was a buyer for Moore Brothers Clothing for twenty years.She also worked at Carriage House furniture store in Abilene, Texas. Survivors include one daughter, Holley Whiteman and husband David of Hale, Missouri; one sister Janice Lang of Hamby, Texas; two brother-in-laws Bill Ivey of Roscoe, Texas and Reggie Pittman of Cisco, Texas; two sister-in-laws Mary Ivey of Hawley, Texas and Francine Ivey of Brackettville, Texas; two granddaughters, Crystal Rose and husband Jeremey of Bosworth, Missouri and Tammy Whiteman of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandsons Matt Ivey of Arlington, Texas and Dusty Ivey of Rising Star, Texas; one great-granddaughter Emma Jean Rose, five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Bill Ivey, two brothers Don Winters and Max Winters, grandson, Danny Ivey, two sister-in-laws, Naomi Winters and Jean Miller, and one brother-in-law Robert Lang. There will be no funeral services for Shirley Ivey. Interment will take place in Dudley Cemetery, Abilene, Texas. Memorial contributions may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
