Shirley Ann Gupton

Shirley Ann Gupton, age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at her residence. Shirley was born the daughter of Walter and Edna May (Buhrow) Harre on September 18, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was baptized on October 14, 1973. She worked as an inspector for Midwest Glove for 44 years. She also worked for Morningside Center from the time that they opened until her retirement in 2005. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn May Schmidt and husband Larry of Laredo, Missouri, Karen Sue Thomas of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Sheryl Ann Whiteman O'Dell of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ashley Anne Bardwell and husband Caleb, Megan Michele Peters and husband Brad, and Emily Elizabeth Hight and husband Andy; two great grandchildren, Corbin Peters and Marshall Bardwell; and beloved grand dog, Sweetie. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved son-in-law, Don G. O'Dell; and brother, Pete C. Belen, Jr. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
