Sharon Rochelle Allgood, age 73, a resident of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, Missouri.
Sharon was born the daughter of Wayne and Vivian (Fischer) Carroll on October 8, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Duane Allgood in 1978, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He preceded her in death. Sharon worked as a CNA for many years. She was a member of New Life Fellowship, Chillicothe, Missouri. Sharon enjoyed knitting, coloring, and collecting.
Survivors include two sons, John Hamilton and wife Mary of Boone, Iowa, and Kenneth Chenet and wife Tierra of Bussey, Iowa; six daughters, Yvette Shaw of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Rochelle Vertz and husband John of New Sharon, Iowa, Sandra Evans and husband Geoffery of Des Moines, Iowa, Brandy Berry and husband Jack of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Samantha Beard and husband Jeremy of Afton, Oklahoma, Tabatha McCoy and husband Sean of Kirksville, Missouri; thirty-three grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; significant other, Kenneth Kanive of Kirksville, Missouri; four brothers, Jake Knight, Doug Knight, Dennis Knight, Bob Knight; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Mildred Carroll; stepfather, Asa Knight; husband, Duane Allgood; stepson, Duane Allgood, Jr.; granddaughter, Mikenzie Cox; son-in-law, Mike Shaw; two brothers, Mike and Charles Knight; stepbrother, Ray Pyle; and foster sister, Darlene Fenton.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Preferred Family Healthcare and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
