Sgt. "Jace" Robert Idom, USMC Sgt. "Jace" Robert Idom, USMC, age 24, a resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at his residence. Jace was born the son of Robert E. Idom and Janice Lynnette Caselman on September 4, 1992, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 2011 graduate of Kearney High School, Kearney, Missouri. He served in the Unites States Marine Corps, and was currently active duty. During this time, he served a deployment to Jordan in 2014, and then a Naval MEU deployment on the USS Essex in 2015. Jace was united in marriage to Amairani Hernandez Maldonado on January 16, 2016, in Long Beach, California. She survives of the home. He loved hunting, target shooting, and paintball. Jace spent most of his childhood summers in Wheeling, Missouri, with his grandparents. He enjoyed wrestling, video games, and working on his truck. Survivors include his mother, Janice Laster and dad John of Kearney, Missouri; his father, Robert Idom of Eldon, Missouri; wife, Amairani of the home; infant son, Jayden Larry Idom, who went to be with Jace shortly after his passing; four sisters; Marisa Idom of Kearney, Missouri; Sierra Norris of Concordia, Missouri, Shayla Norris of Concordia, Missouri, and Destiny Idom of Carrollton, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Janet Caselman of Wheeling, Missouri; mother-in-law, Lisa Hernandez and spouse Brent Thomas of Corona, California; father-in-law, Tony Hernandez Serrano of China, California; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews who loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Paul Caselman; and paternal grandparents, John Eugene Idom and Sandra Idom. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
