Sara A. Silvey, age 47, a resident of Milan, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, Milan, Missouri.
Sara was born the daughter of Rick and Carolyn (Taube) Silvey on October 12, 1976, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. She attended Highview Baptist Church. Sara worked at Grand River Health Care, McDonalds, Hope Haven and Golden Corral throughout her life. She loved shopping and being with her family, including her nieces, nephews and cousins. Sara also loved her extended family at the Barnabas House. She enjoyed being outdoors, family get-togethers and country music. She was known for her big smile.
Survivors include two sisters, Stephanie Mast, of Chillicothe, Missouri, Stacy Lawson and husband Ray, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Joseph Silvey and Skyler Rexing, of Cameron, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great-aunts and uncles. Sara was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Taube, who raised her and her siblings; her parents, several great aunts and uncles, and one nephew, Nick Lawson.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, one hour prior to time of service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
