Samuel Phillip Van Horn Samuel Phillip Van Horn, age 26, a resident of Utica, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017, in Dawn, Missouri. Samuel was born the son of Phillip Jay and Carolyn Sue (Brown) Van Horn on November 24, 1990, in Florida. He worked as a cook at Pin Oak Restaurant, Bogard, Missouri. Samuel enjoyed riding dirt bikes, and working on cars. He loved his son. Survivors include his maternal grandmother, Mary Minnis of Utica, Missouri; one son, Brodie Van Horn of Galesburg, Illinois; four brothers, Robert Clark of Brookfield, Missouri, John Clark of Kansas City, Missouri, Jared Van Horn of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Sean Van Horn and wife Kendra of Kansas City, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and paternal grandparents, Grover and Clarice Van Horn. Graveside services will be held at the Van Horne Cemetery, Chula, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
